Superintelligence for business
What does superintelligence mean for a small business?
Short answer
Superintelligence is AI that outperforms people at most thinking work, not just one task. Several major labs now say they are building it. Nobody knows exactly when it arrives, but the businesses ready to use it will have three things in place: their company knowledge organized and private, AI agents with clear jobs and permissions, and someone accountable for running it all. That is what AImpact Nexus sets up today.
AI, AGI, superintelligence: what's the difference?
- Step 1
AI
Software that does a task we used to need a person for. ChatGPT drafting an email.
- Step 2
AGI
AI that does most thinking work about as well as a person.
- Step 3
Superintelligence
AI that does most thinking work better than people.
The word is moving from science fiction to company roadmaps. Safe Superintelligence Inc. was founded to build it (“Superintelligence is within reach,” its site says), and Meta has published its vision of personal superintelligence. You don't need to pick a side on when it arrives. You need your business ready to use whatever comes next.
Get ready now
What a superintelligence-ready business has in place
Your knowledge in one private brain
SOPs, client history, email and meeting notes, organized so AI can answer from them with sources.
Private by default
Your own server and database, with permissions on every file and every agent.
Agents with real jobs
A head-op agent and a sidekick per person, each with a role, an owner and limits.
Approvals and an audit trail
Anything risky waits for a person. Every action is recorded.
Upgrades without a rebuild
When a smarter model ships, your agents use it. Your setup, data and rules carry over.
Managed AI Provider
You don't staff it. We run it.
Smarter models are coming every few months. Someone has to plug them in, keep your data private, set what each agent may do, and answer when something looks wrong. As a Managed AI Provider, that someone is us, so your business gets each step toward superintelligence without hiring an AI team.
AImpact Nexus is a Managed AI Provider (MAP): the MSP model, applied to AI. Our founder spent 17 years running a managed services company before its $7M exit. Same playbook: we set it up, keep it running, and stay accountable for it. What is a Managed AI Provider?

Businesses that want to move first
When smarter AI lands, you want it working on your real data the same week.
Leaders planning headcount
You want AI to take the busywork so your people grow into bigger work.
Questions buyers ask
What does superintelligence mean for a small business?
Superintelligence is AI that outperforms people at most thinking work, not just one task. Several major labs now say they are building it. Nobody knows exactly when it arrives, but the businesses ready to use it will have three things in place: their company knowledge organized and private, AI agents with clear jobs and permissions, and someone accountable for running it all. That is what AImpact Nexus sets up today.
What is superintelligence?
Superintelligence is a term for AI that is smarter than people across most kinds of thinking work: reasoning, planning, writing, analysis and problem-solving, not just a single narrow task. The idea was popularized by philosopher Nick Bostrom in his 2014 book Superintelligence. Today several labs describe it as their goal, including Safe Superintelligence Inc. and Meta.
What is the difference between AI, AGI and superintelligence?
AI is the broad term for software that does work we used to need people for, like ChatGPT drafting an email. AGI (artificial general intelligence) usually means AI that can do most thinking work about as well as a person. Superintelligence goes a step further: AI that does that work better than people. The terms describe a direction, and the lines between them are still debated.
When will superintelligence arrive?
No one knows. Some lab leaders say it could be close; many researchers are more cautious. For a business owner the date matters less than the direction: each new model can do more, and the companies that benefit first are the ones whose knowledge, systems and permissions are already set up for AI to work inside.
Will superintelligence replace my employees?
We build AI to free people, not replace them. In practice the work that changes first is the repetitive part: inbox triage, re-keying data, follow-ups, reports. Your people keep the judgment, relationships and decisions, and an AI that knows your business takes the busywork. A smarter model makes that assistant better; it does not change who is accountable.
How can a small business get ready for superintelligence?
Start with what any future model will need from you: your company knowledge in one private place, clear rules for what AI may see and do, a record of every action it takes, and one real job it already does well. The AImpact OS gives you all four, and when a stronger model ships, your agents get the upgrade without a rebuild.
Is AImpact Nexus building superintelligence?
No. We do not build the underlying models. We are a Managed AI Provider: we set up and run the AI inside your business, on your own private system, using the best available models. As those models get smarter, your system gets smarter with them.
